Buying from us and delivery

Coronavirus update –

All items are sent by Royal Mail who have this statement on their website: ‘Public Health England (PHE) has advised that people receiving parcels are not at risk of contracting the coronavirus. From experience with other coronaviruses, we know that these types of viruses don’t survive long on objects, such as letters or parcels.’ (royalmail.com/coronavirus)

We are of course following all other advice and staff are frequently washing hands and cleaning our work area regularly.

Where do you deliver to and how much does it cost?

We currently only deliver to UK addresses and you can order as much as you like and pay just £4 postage per order. If you’d just like to order a card or small item and the postage is actually a lot less than £4, we will refund excess postage.

Some items are sent straight from their makers and have free P&P. If you order one of these items plus items we have in stock in the shop, the £4 postage applies.

Postage and availablity varies for different countries. If you’re outside the UK please contact us for information at enquiries@birdsyard.co.uk

Please note, some items may incur duties, taxes and fees when sent to non-EU countries. It is the buyer’s responsibility to pay for these if applicable.

Can orders be returned?

We accept returns within 14 days of the order being sent. If you decide to return the product to us, we will arrange for a refund on the product. Please email us at enquiries@birdsyard.co.uk if you wish to return an order.

Personalised items cannot be returned.

What payment options are there?

We accept payment via Pay Pal, Visa, Master Card, Maestro and American Express.

Can I collect from your shop?

When the shop is open, yes. Collection from our Sheffield shop is free, just select that option at the checkout. Your order should be ready to collect straight away. If for any reason it can’t be, we will contact you to let you know.

Any item that is sent from the designer rather than from the shop has this information clearly marked in its description. These items may or may not be available for collecting from the shop. If you’d like to know more please email enquiries@birdsyard.co.uk

Who makes the products?

We have a combination of products carefully selected from around the globe as well as a number of products handmade by small, independent UK creatives, most with a link to Sheffield and Yorkshire.

Is there more stock available of an item I want?

We often have a little more stock of each item available for sale in the shop. If you’d like multiples of an item that’s showing only one in stock please get in touch with us using the contacts below and we’ll be happy to let you know what’s available.

I’ve seen an item in your shop, why isn’t it available on this site?

A lot of the handmade items we sell are very limited editions or one offs which means we only have enough stock to have them in our shop. However, if there’s something you’ve seen in person or on our social media sites and would like to order it online, do get in touch with us and if we still have the item available we can arrange for it to be added just for you.
